Been There, Done That
A few highlights among Steve's comedy doings:
Network Television Appearances
Only 19 years old at the time, Steve's national television debut happened back in 1978 when he appeared as a contestant on the original "Gong Show," the legendary NBC series created and hosted by game show pioneer Chuck Barris. Not only did Steve survive the dreaded "gong," his stellar performance wowed Barris, the studio audience and all three celebrity judges (Johnny Paycheck, Jo Anne Worley and Pat Paulsen), who each awarded him a perfect 10 score.
Steve's other TV appearances include "America's Funniest People" on ABC (runner-up winner), "Show Me the Funny" (Fox Family Channel), "Comedy at Club 54" (Comedy Channel) andYour Hometown America Parade" (Armed Forces Network).
Radio Broadcasting
Steve's radio broadcasting background includes a number of stints as a "morning drive" host on the following Upstate New York stations:
WAYI (Queensbury), WABT (Albany), WKBE (Glens Falls), WROW (Albany), and WTRY (Rotterdam)
Comedy Clubs
From legendary clubs like Dangerfield's in New York City to The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Steve has been behind the mic at dozens of comedy clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada.
During the summer months of 1994 through 1999, Steve ran his own comedy showroom in the Adirondack resort town of Lake George, NY. Jimmy Fallon, Lewis Black and Lisa Lampanelli, all relatively unknowns at the time, were among the now-famous comedians Steve's hired.
Resorts & Casinos
Steve's resort engagements span from those in the mountain regions of New York (the Adirondacks and Catskills), the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Berkshires of Massachusetts, New Hampshire's White Mountains, the Poconos of Pennsylvania and as far south as Aruba.
